PROGRAM 

FRIDAY, 4 SEPTEMBER 2015

10.00-16.00 – arrival and accommodation at the University Campus „Hasdeu” for 6000 participants.

17.00 – dinner in the University Campus „Hasdeu” – catering.

18.30 – Opening Festivity in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral.

20.30 – Public concert with the most famous Romanian pop band „Holograf” în „Unirii” Square.

 

SATURDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER 2015

7.30 – breakfast in the University Campus „Hasdeu” – catering.

9.00 – morning prayers in Romanian and English at the Metropolitan Cathedral and introductive talk about the topics to be discussed.

10.00-13.00 – group discussions based on specific youth topics, personal acquaintance, coordinated interaction, discussions and life experience exchange.

13.00-14.00 – Lunch in the classrooms.

14.00-17.00 – Free choice activities:

  • Visiting the museums: National Museum of Art, Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania,

National History Museum of Transylvania, „Babeş-Bolyai” University Museum, Mineralogy Museum, Palaeontology and Stratigraphy Museum, Zoological Museum, The Pharmacy History Museum, Cluj Orthodox Metropolitan Museum;

  • Visiting the Botanical Garden and the Botanical Museum;
  • Visiting the sights of the city;
  • Visiting the churches of Cluj;
  • Workshops;
  • Folk music for youths by participants who play guitar;
  • Theatre Skits prepared and played by youths;
  • Exhibitions: photo, graphic art, iconography, sculpture and other forms of art;
  • Presentations (ex. Orthodoxy from the foreign countries, Orthodoxy and Modern World, Interconfessional Dialogue, Cluj and the history of Europe in small and other topics);
  • Youth and organisational experience exchanges between leaders and members of youth associations and parochial groups;
  • Urban Photography and other specific activities.

19.00 – Conference at the „Polyvalent Hall” with Archimandrite Zaharia Zaharou from Essex Monastery, England.

21.30 – Dinner in the University Campus „Hasdeu” – catering.

 

SUNDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER 2015

9.00 – Liturgy in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral.

13.00 – Lunch at the University Campus „Hasdeu”.

Free time activities.

15.00 – In the Central Park:

  • Public Concert with traditional Romanian music;
  • Interactive activities: contests, group activities, equilibrium, sharing religious quotes, impressions from the event, messages for the youths all around the world, composing poetry, dynamic drama and other recreational activities for youths.

17.30 – Youth Procession from the Central Park to the Metropolitan Cathedral.

19.00 – Night prayers in Romanian and English at the Metropolitan Cathedral. Planting the Oak of the Youths.

20.30 – Public folk concert.

22.30 – Dinner in the University Campus „Hasdeu” – catering.

 

MONDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER 2015

7.30 – breakfast at the University Campus „Hasdeu”.

9.00 – Closing Festivity at the Sport Hall. Conclusions. Impressions. Questionnaires. Gifts as reminders from the European Orthodox Youth Meeting in Cluj-Napoca. Departure.
